What a wonderful idea! I can't believe we missed this event! Any chance that another one will be coming up soon? We are interested in the CSA, and would love an opportunity to get to know the farm while having dinner!

Hello Mandy,

Ticket prices are $40, regardless of age. Although this event is not advertised as "adult-only", the tour and meal are not geared towards small children. Cane Creek Farm hosts many other child-friendly events throughout the year, check their website at www.canecreekfarm.net for details.

I hope this answers your question.

Hope to see you there!

I've been gardening for years and the same overwhelming beauty and miracle of it all still takes my breath away! Here's a quote I circulated on Twitter that may resonate with you. “Why try to explain miracles to your kids when you can just have them plant a garden?”– Robert Brault. Peace, V.

Juliana~ My thoughts are eeriely similar to yours! I too am a CSA share volunteer. I work every tuesday at Cane Creek and it is my favorite day of the week! I can't believe what I am lucky enough to be sharing in either. Very often I up root a vegetable or harvest some greens and am shocked by the beauty of what mother nature and Lynn Pugh are creating out there. Have you seen the Swiss Chard?? Is it not pretty enough to share space in a flower vase? The stalks are vibrant enough to take center stage on any table, the yellow, orange, salmon, burgundy and frushia are screaming for a crystal vase on a cherry table.

How cool is that??
Something about the peace and fresh air on the farm, makes my mind wonder too... and I wunder, does Lynn know, what a wonderful contribution she is making to our community and each individual family that is partaking in the Cane Creek experience? To foster the education and pursuade our collective thought to grow in a direction that will be so instrumental in changing what we expect in our food supply and what we are willing to except from agriculture is an amazing contribution. Every time I visit Cane Creek I walk away having learned something new to share, something of value, something that will foster the health and well being of my family and lots of other families. Wow! What an wonderful contribution.

I feel profoundly fortunate to have been asked to be a volunteer at Cane Creek Farm and really appreciative that I am in a position to learn good food practices so that I can care for my family and those around me in a better and wiser way.

Soooooooo, I too am "Surprised by a Vegetable" (and a farmer!!)
