The Farm

The Pugh Family owns almost eighteen acres along Cane Creek at the end of the road. The farm has almost 4 acres in cultivation in fields of vegetables and flowers, plus an orchard of fruit trees and berries, pastures for sheep and cattle, and over 200 shitake mushroom logs.

The center of the farm is where the barn, the greenhouse, and the Farm Store nestle into the hillside. Harvested produce is brought to the barn for cleaning, packing and storing, and the barn is also where you will find staff and volunteers sharing a communal lunch, or children participating in our Farm Camp. In close proximity is the greenhouse, where the multitudes of plants begin their life on the farm. Twenty herb beds in front of the greenhouse provide customers with a plethora of choices. On CSA pick-up day, Lynn greets her customers at the Farm Store with baskets of the week’s harvest.
