Swiss Chard with Parmesan Cheese

 

Wash and cut the stems off at base of leaf.  Cut the stem into 2” lengths.  Cut the leaves into 2” strips.  Blanch stems for about 3 minutes in boiling, salted water. Add leaves and blanch 1-2 more minutes.  Drain.  Preheat oven to 450 degrees.  Put stems and leaves in a baking dish.  Season lightly with salt and pepper.  Pour 2-3 Tablespoons of melted butter over all, tossing to coat.  Sprinkle 1/4-1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese on top and bake for 10 minutes.
